Newb Warrior Armor
Hi Y’all, I’ve got a level 10 Warrior/Monk as far as the couthouse and I was lokin' in to getting some better armor. Right now I have the collector armor from pre-sering and a wyrin helm. What armor would be best for me?

you should probably get the armor you can craft at ascalon. get the high end armor, not the cheaper one. on my first play through the game with my warrior, the ascalon armor lasted me all the way to the jungle.

Save your money and get a run to Droks once you hit Beacons. Once there get Forge armor. You could just start looking for a runner to Beacons once you cross over to Yak's (not far from where you are). The armor you get a Droks Forge will last the the entire game unless you want to buy 15k or FoW armor once you get rich.

lol..Star Gazer is a game idealist. Very few people actually wait that long.
So Mr Blue Sky if you don't like Me NoFat's suggestion then i'd wait, Warrior pre sear armor can actually get you all the way to Lions Arch, at which point you can get better armor. If you've opened the map all the way to the Courthouse you can get better collectors armor now and you'll be good to go.

yeah, but on first characters, it should be frowned upon on getting droks armor...how else are you to properly learn the game if a nice guildie gives you 40k to pay for runs, crafting material, and the armor itself? its a shame really...after your first char, psh do whatever you want...but alteast play the game correct on the first go-round. its more fun that way IMO

If you have money, get a run to droks and buy that armour. Its 1.5plat a piece, not including the materials needed. If you dont have alot of money, try getting a run to yaks bend and buy their armour. 150Gp [I think] a piece

fraid i have to agree im still mainly useing my first cahr and only rally begun my 2nd recently , its far more rewarding casue when u actully start getting to the hard bits having supa armor will basically make u naff you wont ahve as good understanding of your char or tactics since its hard for low level creatures to kill u whislt wering a set of droks

don't know about you, but the courthouse is pretty close to yaks bend. with some luck, he can probably run himself there with a pug or henchies.

For crying out loud, just get the Ascalon City armor*. It's as good as any armor you can get until a bit past Lion's Arch, and if he didn't already know how to get run to Droknar's Forge he won't be able to afford the armor when he gets there anyway.
* That is, the more expensive armor from Corwen, not the cheap-ass armor from Banoit.
